I did. In `package()` function. I install into "${pkgdir}" with `make
DESTDIR="${pkgdir}" install`, and then the packaging script collects and
installs into filesystem, from where I execute.

But what I actualle see is that when I do the `make install`, something
OpenSSL related gets rebuilt. Maybe in that step it re-builds/ links
against system OpenSSL?

And I see:

* hashes (expected and real) stay the same if I just delete
  everything and rebuild,
* both change if I toggle LTO build.

I can delete the complete build directory and everything stays the
same, so it does not seem that build directory files are used at all.

OK, found it: I have to tell my packaging system to not 'strip' :-(.

Regards!
