I was there. For VMS 6.0 and below was 32 bit bliss. For that we used ONLY Bliss32 and Macro32. For 64 bit systems after 6.0 Im not sure what they used. Perl used not invented and DEC people would NEVER have used PERL any way. For 64 bit releases probably they used a mixture on DEC C, Bliss and the 64 Bit assembler and probably some some 32 bit assembler. I wish you luck please let me know how it goes.
