	Which file have you downloaded ? You can downloaded source tarball or 
disk images. Maybe can you start with disk images and bochs emulator (or 
qemu). Qemu is more efficient on i386 and X64, but Bochs can run FreeVMS 
on all other architectures. If you start with sources tarball, you have 
all build process in linux/HOWTO.
