New release 0.3.8 at
ftp.nvg.ntnu.no:/pub/vms/freevms (freevms-0_3_8.tgz and linker-0_2_6)

Disk images are named a.img.gz and c.img.gz.
The USE file or reference to it should accompany downloads.
(For x86_64 they are named a.img.x86_64.gz and c.img.x86_64.gz)
The README file should be read first.

News:
New Bliss version, 0.211 (bump due to move to gcc 4.2.1 backend).

More news:
There will be at best very low activity from my side from now on for a
long time (want to do something else), and I expect it will continue
at least until others here contribute.

Bugs/features fixed:
Both:
Terminal driver needed its own spinlocks.
Sys$qiow system service did not do everything from the right mode
(still other wait services remaining, though).
Exe$forkdpsth did not set proper ipl.
Ioc$iopost lost irps posted on the non-primary cpu, due to the softint
running on the primary cpu, exe$finishio and exe$abortio changed.
Exe$finishio and exe$abortio did not set proper ipl.
RMS file resources got used up, now file descriptor reference count is added.
Ioc$iopost remqhi had problems with spinlocks, changed to global_cli.
Memory management look_aside_list needed spinlocks.
Memoryalc had some superfluous poison-calls and call ordering
that made problems.
Buildfixes for gcc4 (i386 version now built on etch).

New bugs/features:
Probably some.

Notes:
Still SMP problems.
Outgoing telnet client has problems withing cli parsing and output.
